Policies

Boarding requirements for dogs:

• Current on one- or three-year rabies vaccine
• Current on distemper and parvo/corona vaccine (DHPPC)
• Bordetella vaccine within six months (prevents kennel cough)
• Hospital approved flea prevention within one month
• Negative intestinal parasite analysis within six months

Boarding requirements for cats:

• Current on one- or three-year rabies vaccine
• Current on feline distemper vaccine (FVRCP)
• Hospital approved flea prevention within one month
• Negative intestinal parasite analysis within six months

Grooming requirements for dogs:

• Current on one- or three-year rabies vaccine
• Bordetella vaccine within six months (prevents kennel cough)

Grooming requirements for cats:

• Current on one- or three-year rabies vaccine
• Current on feline distemper vaccine (FVRCP)

Surgery requirements:

• No food or water after midnight the night before surgery
• Arrival morning of surgery by 9am
• Pre-operative blood work for pets 10 years of age or older
• A pet cannot be dropped off for surgery unless it has been examined by a doctor within the past 30 days.  If a pet has not been seen by a veterinarian within the past 30 days, a surgery consultation appointment must be made before scheduling surgery.  This appointment can be the same day as the surgery.

• We work by appointments to minimize your waiting time, but emergencies take precedence.
