Community Involvement

St. Matthews Animal Clinic is active in the St. Matthews and greater Louisville community through involvement in a number of animal welfare events and charities. Our practice works closely with The Animal Care Society, Shamrock Pet Foundation, as well as the Woodstock Animal Foundation to offer charitably discounted medical services. Our doctors and staff have been involved in many local events including No Kill Louisville’s Million Mutt March, The Kentucky Humane Society’s Waggin’ Trail Walk, Kentucky Country Day School’s Career Day, Animal Care Society’s Bark in the Park, Greathouse Shryock Traditional Elementary School’s Career Day, and the JCC Doggie Dip.

We are also proud sponsors of several events, including University of Louisville’s Responsible Pet Ownership Fair, The Animal Care Society’s Benefit Bash, Kentucky Humane Society’s Tuxes & Tails Benefit Auction & Gala, The Kentuckiana Cat Club Annual Show, and GRRAND Affair.

When we can’t get involved, we donate to local and national charities. The doctors and staff at St. Matthews Animal Clinic are also very passionate about causes that do not necessarily involve pets. We charitably support Kosair Charities, St. Matthews Area Ministries, The American Veterans, The Cabbage Patch Settlement House, The Bluegrass Center for Autism, The Epilepsy Foundation of Kentuckiana, The Special Olympics of Kentucky, Junior Achievement of Kentuckiana, Louisville Professional Firefighters, The American Legion, Chenoweth Elementary School, Saint Xavier High School, and Holy Trinity School. We strongly believe that supporting the missions of other local organizations is how we contribute to Louisville being such a wonderful place to live and work.
